We're thrilled to have the Volvo EX60 SUV within our lineup of midsize EV SUVs. As the innovative sibling to the Volvo XC60, we expect great things. Thanks to the automaker's detailed pressroom releases, here's what we already know:

• New Powertrains: The model will come with three powertrain options – all new construction for the Volvo EX60. These are called the P6, P10, and P12. Upon initial release of the Volvo EX60, only the P6 and P10 are available. The P12 powertrain will be released later.
• Google Gemini Integration: The Volvo EX60 is designed to speak naturally to you, thanks to the new Google Gemini technology.
• HuginCore Technology: Newly named, this core system collaborates with other software to enable over-the-air (OTA) updates.
• AI-Driven Performance: The Volvo EX60 comes with the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, an advanced technology that delivers the most processing power ever in a Volvo vehicle.

So, when will the new Volvo EX60 be released? The first batch of models is expected sometime this year – particularly around the end of Summer or the beginning of Fall. However, this time is subject to change; it could be earlier or later depending on how production goes.

Volvo EX60 Range & Powertrains

The new Volvo EX60 is arriving in United States markets with two powertrains – and they're all new for the automaker. A third powertrain, the P12, will come to the market later.

The standard P6 powertrain utilizes an 800-volt electrical system to deliver 369 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Featuring rear-wheel drive and an automatic transmission, this setup allows the vehicle to spring from zero to 60 mph in just 5.7 seconds. These combined engineering choices ensure a refined driving experience.

Instantaneous torque is always standard on all-electric vehicles, which can be thrilling for drivers who prefer a more immersive experience behind the wheel. The Volvo EX60 offers even more capability with a 3,600-pound towing capacity² and an electric range up to 307 miles³ on select P6 models.

The P10 powertrain offers significant upgrades, featuring all-wheel drive and increased output: 503 horsepower and 524 pound-feet of torque. This configuration improves performance, allowing the SUV to reach 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds. These enhancements provide a more dynamic and capable driving experience.

The P10 also offers an extended range of up to 322 miles³ on select models and increases the vehicle's towing capacity to 4,500 pounds.²

An 800-volt electrical system powers the new Volvo EX60 on both the P6 and P10 powertrains. However, the battery size varies depending on the powertrain; the P6 edition uses an 83-kWh battery, while the P10 uses a 95-kWh battery pack.

Both powertrains are also capable of charging in just 16 minutes¹ with DC fast charging. That's faster than other models in our lineup, such as the Volvo EX90, which can do the same charge in 22 minutes.¹

Volvo Cars is always at the cutting edge of innovation, and the Volvo EX60 is just another example of that. We mentioned a little bit about the model's next-gen 800-volt electrical system and its new integrated artificial intelligence technologies, but there's more to explore inside the cabin.

For example, an 11.4-inch dual-cell LCD driver display and a 15.04-inch curved OLED center display are standard appointments – larger than every other infotainment system in the lineup.

Behind the second row, there's 18.5 cubic feet of cargo volume to store groceries or gear for the family's morning hike. However, if you don't need the second row, fold it to expand cargo volume to 64.3 cubic feet. A front trunk (also called a frunk) offers a 2.1-cubic-foot cargo hold area that can be essential for storing small tools.
